Typography. The class was asked to bring in a letterform that interested them and then asked to write for five minutes straight about what we saw.  The brief was then to use this letterform and our writing and produce an A2 sized typographic composition in black and white.

For our first brief at uni, we were put in teams of four and asked to produce 50 zines in a fortnight from the word ‘active’.  Our team latched onto the theme ‘interactive’ and how people interact and communicate in the 21st century through facebook’s ‘what’s on your mind’ status box.
We went through our own facebook feeds and illustrated any interesting looking status updates with some quirky, odd and sometimes distrubing results.  The final zine was presented as a series of hand rendered postcards in an envelope, with each zine containing one original piece of artwork and five prints.
